At midnight, on December 2, 2013, 36 same-sex couples were married at the Sheraton Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii. I am so happy this day is here, and we can just start calling these celebrations "WEDDINGS" instead of "GAY WEDDING" or "SAME SEX WEDDING".... here are some of my shots from the festive fun joyful and emotional evening...

The Golujuch Family, leaders in the fight for Equality in Hawaii....
Carolyn, Michael Jr, Michele and Mike Sr

From Left to Right: Michael Golujuch Jr, Mark Takei, Representative Chris Lee, Tambry R Young, Jackie Young, Della Au Bellatti, Senator William Espero.

Helping to make magic: Kelly Sanders, GM of Sheraton Waikiki. Jamie Fusco, Manager of Leahi The Club, Sheraton Waikiki. Jessie Faige and Tara O'Neill, party coordinators extraordinaire!

Two of the fabulous officiants: Carolyn Martinez-Golujuch and Jon Kuahiwi

Gary and Paul....pros at this wedding stuff!

A slight technical glitch with the State's website delayed the first six ceremonies by 15 minutes; grooms and brides looked stressed, but it all turned out ok!

Spiritual leaders united!

complete media frenzy: EVERYONE was there!

Some of the 30+ couples who also were wed after Midnight.
Congratulations! Mazel Tov! Woohoo!

Shaun and Singh celebrate with their friends

James and Peter waited patiently for their turn....
